How to calibrate the cover with the PoolControl App

To control PC3 and PC3ECO trough the App, PC3 needs a hardware (RJ45) connection to the internet to be able to control it from you mobile phone

Set the Thermal safety by turning the wheel to the value found on the Filter pump's motorID-plate.

This message will appear in the app after the Therminal safety for the filter pump activates.

PC3 can control VS-Pumps (Filter pumps with the frequenty drive build-in) trough our optional relais-set (RELSET) with a jumper to alter the function of the RELSET

PC3 or PC3ECO in combination with our dosing unit

On our standard PC3 and PC3ECO control boxes without a built-in dosing unit, the settings and menu items for the dosing unit are switched off.

We do this to prevent cluttering the display with settings and info that is irrelevant.

When using our PC3 or PC3ECO control boxes in combination with our Dosing unit the availability of the dosing unit settings have to be switched on.

The Video explains how to do that.

Encoder error (No pulses from cover motor)

The PC3-TA and PC3ECO-TA boxes that have been delivered so far are PC3 and PC3ECO controllers from our stock that have been converted to be compatible with the T&A motors. They are also tested in production with a T&A motor.

These "converted" controllers were originally built for Sirem motors and therefore still have the pulse-purifying capacitors installed.
(Below are the two capacitor versions used)

These "pulse-purifying capacitors" in combination with a pulse amplifier and a Sirem motor can generate an encoder error on the PC3-TA or PC3ECO-TA. Removing the "pulse-purifying capacitors" resolves the issue.

All PC3-TA and PC3ECO-TA cabinets in our stock have had the capacitors removed. At the moment, there are still about 10 to 15 cabinets "in the field" containing these capacitors.

Of course, these "pulse-purifying capacitors" are no longer present in the newly produced PC3-TA and PC3ECO-TA.

PT1000 Temperature sensors used for PC3

PT1000

PT1000

Trouble shooting PT1000:

You can measure the resistance of the sensor with an Ohm-meter.
A good PT1000 will show +/-1000Ω at 0°C, +/-1039 at 10°C, +/-1078 at 20°C, +/-1117 at 30°C
